I’m only using iCloud to sync my calendars, contacts, notes, and so on, as I’m not the biggest fan of using multiple services for that stuff. Add an easily accessible calendar to your Macs menu bar, either one of two free apps or a paid app that offers more scheduling power. Verify that you’ve got the same list turned on for your iPhone or iPad at Settings > Calendar > Accounts. May I know whether you configured your account the same way Still can’t sync your. Navigate to Calendar view, I can see my Gmail calendar synced to Outlook for Mac. That’ll make it seem like everything from one device is disappearing into the ether, never to be seen anywhere else! You can check which accounts you’ve got set to sync calendars on the Mac under System Preferences > Internet Accounts.Īny of your accounts that have “Calendars” listed in grey underneath their names are syncing that service with your Mac. Bus圜al is the most powerful, flexible, heavily customizable, reliable calendar app for macOS. Finally the Gmail account is successfully configured as a Google Account and are able to sync Calendar events to Outlook for Mac desktop app. But here’s one more thing: A syncing complaint I have to troubleshoot quite often is when a device is set to sync to a calendar (say, a Google one) and that particular calendar isn’t even configured on another of that person’s devices. Make those both the same calendar as I’ve done, and any events you add will by default go on that! Cool.

Start up Calendar and hit command-R – everything should refresh properly. On the iPhone and iPad, this option is listed under Settings > Calendar.Go back into System Preferences and turn Calendar back on for the Google Account(s).

I’m not sure what the actual cause is but this can get you back up & running. I finally found a solution to fix it until the next time it happens. Hitting Command-R in calendar results in it sitting on Updating for some time (minutes?) and then an exclamation point appearing next to the calendars in question. On occasion my Calendar on Mavericks gets hosed when syncing with Google.
